Peruvian Black Epic has garnered over 58 championships for his prodigy and a 7X champion himself! He has been touted as being the BEST black herdsire in the USA! Black Epic puts out stunning uniformity of micron, color and type, fleece brightness and show-stopping style in his cria. Signature is no exception! We purchased Signature for exactly that and have not been disappointed.
XENA PRINCESS WARRIOR (dam)
We loved this dam so much we tried to purchase her but she was "not for sale" or otherwise know as too valuable to let go. Xena boasts an outstanding pedigree - she is a Black Hawk daughter and Accoyo Cahuide granddaughter. Cahuide who was white was infamous for producing killer white style fleece in color!
Signature is a big and bold very black male. He has fine, bright and crimpy fleece. Signature is true black from the skin to the tip all over his entire body. As fiber producers we really appreciate this quality as we have found that rare. It is the only way to get true black yarn. Most true blacks fade at the tip producing bay black fiber.
Signature has improved our herd in every color across the board helping us to achieve a more consistent fiber in both micron and style. Check out some of his cria's histogram numbers below.
